ONW Now

For our final project this semester we had the opportunity to film a sophomore edition of ONW Now. The first thing we had to do was decide for ourselves what segment we wanted to make a story over. We could chose between sports, news, feature story, word from the halls and even decide to be an anchor. I chose to do a sports story and to be an anchor and that's what I ended up getting. After we got our jobs we finally got our teams. I was with Josh Burton, Molly Weir, Ethan Goss, and Logan Read. Out of this whole year this was the best team I worked with. Since we were assigned sports at first we were going to do it over boys basketball but couldn't because they were in a tournament and no one could make it to their games. Then we decided on girls basketball. Josh, Ethan, and I did interviews while Logan did the voice over and helped Molly edit. Josh also went to one of the girls practices and then Molly went to one of their games. While all the teams were still finishing their projects Mrs. Zimmerli had all the anchors come together to write a script for ONW Now. I had a hard time coming up with what to say for girls basketball because I don't know that much about sports or how their season went last year. Eventually I ended up figuring out what to say by doing some research. After all the projects were finished and we did the dress rehearsal it was time to film the actual thing. Both the dress rehearsal and the actual filming were pretty stressful. What made the actual filming stressful was that one of the cameras wouldn't work. It took about 30 minutes to get it to work but then we only had 10 minutes left in school. Eventually we started filming and no we're waiting to watch the end result next Wednesday.

Typograpghy

     For this project we worked in Adobe Illustrator to create different quotes. The first thing we did was look online for 10 different quotes that stood out to us. Next we had to look at fonts to see which ones we wanted to use for our quotes. I didn't know what to pick at first because so many of them were similar, weird or just not right for the quote. I ended up choosing a lot of cursive fonts because they were really cute to me.       The first thing I did was write out the quotes I liked in a random font. After that I began to move the words around and choose the fonts for each one. Next I began to add color to the quotes and things in the background.  Overall I enjoyed this project. It was actually harder than I thought it was going to be. Deciding on what to do for each quote was the hard part for me. If I were to do this project again I would work on filling up the artboard space more.

Logo Color Schemes

Analogous: BP uses the analogous color scheme of green, yellow and yellow-green. I think the company probably chose these colors is to show they are environment safe. Jamba Juice uses the analogous color scheme of yellow, yellow-orange and yellow-green. I think the company probably chose these colors is to show that they have many different fruity flavors. Complementary: Fanta uses the complementary color scheme of orange and blue. I think the company probably uses these colors to represent there orange flavored soda and how it's also refreshing.
