Printing Process

Last week in graphic design we learned about the printing process. We had to watch 3 videos about different printing process and how to do them. After we wrote blog posts about, relief, intilagio and lithography printing. But we didn't do any of those 3, instead we did transfer printing.

We started by picking 2 of our favorite projects we had done so far. I picked my nature man and the panorama project. Next we watercolored 2 papers so we could transfer our projects on them. After everyone was done water coloring we mod poged the pictures. We used a squeegee to rub the mod podge across the paper so our hands didn't get messy. When the mod podge was dry we then had to rub it off to see that our picture was transfer onto the paper. To rub it off we had to wet our fingers and rub pretty hard to have the mod podge come off. When everyone was done our teacher then took them home to to add a gloss over them. Finally we hung them up in our classroom. Overall this was really fun and different from what we usually do. I enjoyed it a lot.

Logo Color Schemes

Analogous: BP uses the analogous color scheme of green, yellow and yellow-green. I think the company probably chose these colors is to show they are environment safe. Jamba Juice uses the analogous color scheme of yellow, yellow-orange and yellow-green. I think the company probably chose these colors is to show that they have many different fruity flavors. Complementary: Fanta uses the complementary color scheme of orange and blue. I think the company probably uses these colors to represent there orange flavored soda and how it's also refreshing. ONW Now

For our final project this semester we had the opportunity to film a sophomore edition of ONW Now. The first thing we had to do was decide for ourselves what segment we wanted to make a story over. We could chose between sports, news, feature story, word from the halls and even decide to be an anchor. I chose to do a sports story and to be an anchor and that's what I ended up getting. After we got our jobs we finally got our teams. I was with Josh Burton, Molly Weir, Ethan Goss, and Logan Read. Out of this whole year this was the best team I worked with. Since we were assigned sports at first we were going to do it over boys basketball but couldn't because they were in a tournament and no one could make it to their games. Then we decided on girls basketball. Josh, Ethan, and I did interviews while Logan did the voice over and helped Molly edit. Website

Overview In e-Comm we made a website. Mr. Olson made video for us to follow along with while making our website. We were instructed to make a home page with a side bar, and a projects page similar to the home page also with a side bar. In the side bar we added links to the home/projects page, the ONW website, e-Comm website and our blog. On the projects page we added our favorite projects that we have done this semester. What I Learned Overall in this week I learned a lot. I learned a new program, Dreamweaver, that I had never used before. In Dreamweaver we learned about all the different tools you can use to make a website. After making the basics of a website we learned how to add photos and videos from our projects.
