Color Wheel


       Our project was to create a color wheel on Adobe Illustrator. The first thing we had to do was learn about it before we could create it ourselves. For about 2 class periods we looked at a Power Point about the color wheel. We learned about primary, secondary, and tertiary colors and many more things. 
     
       At first I thought this project would be pretty easy, I mean anyone would. It may look really simple but there were a lot of parts to it. I learned that the color wheel is really important when making something involving graphic design. The color scheme of something really does matter. Sometimes people are more drawn in with a good graphic design. 
       
       This project took me some time to do (partly because I didn't pay that much attention). But also it had to do with working in Adobe Illustrator. I was new to using it and I had to learn where everything was, what tool to use, how big it should be and where to place it etc. After a while I did get the hang of it and anyone interested in graphic design should defiantly use it. 

The next time I use Adobe Illustrator or a project in general I will be listening better and paying attention more. I believe that will help me use the program better and faster. Also to ask more questions if I'm confused and don't know how to do it instead of figuring it out myself which takes me longer. At first I thought why are we doing this it's not important but it opened my eyes to see that graphic design involves the color wheel a lot and it's very important. This project was fun and I 10/10 recommend it.

Semester 2- Video

Music Video      My group decided to recreate High School Musical 2's, Bet On It, music video. The first thing we decided on was who was playing Troy in the music video. We had a perfect match and it was one of our own team members, Alex Pauli. After pre-production we were ready to film. The filming process was a little hard. My group wasn't very smart for choosing a music video set outdoors in the summer time when it was the middle of January and February. My main role in the filming process was teaching Alex the dance moves and helping with certain shots in the video. The shots for this video were not that difficult. Most of them were regular shots we could shoot on a tripod but sometimes we had to hold it to pan with Alex. Overall I thought this project was really fun. Nature Man

     For the Nature Man project we had to use all the skills we learned in Adobe Photoshop to create a better version of the original picture. He's called Nature Man because some pictures that were already provided for us in the server had to do with nature. The pictures consisted of roots, a cliff, trees and water. I restarted several times creating Nature Man because I didn't like what I had come up with. My first creation was horrible. I think I didn't like it because the only pictures I had used the ones provided and nature doesn't interest me. The second time I was going for a blue theme. The suit was going to be many different shades of blues mixed together. That didn't work out because the jacket looked too fake and it wouldn't blend very well.  For the third time the picture above is what I came up with.    After trying to go with a blue theme I changed my mind and decided to go with purple since it's my favorite color. Vector

     For this project we had to choose a portrait of a family member, pet or our self and recreate it in Adobe Illustrator. After choosing the picture we wanted we had to put it in Adobe Photoshop first. We cropped the image and posterized it to whatever number you wanted. We had to posterize it to see the different highlights and shadows on our picture.      The hardest part about this project was trying to differentiate all the shadows and highlights on the body. I only did the ones that seemed the most important to me. I decided to really simplify my vector down because tracing every different thing looked weird to me. I think my favorite part about my vector is the eyebrows, eyes and the raven on the front of the outfit. Those really turned out great.
