Logo Color Schemes


Analogous:

BP uses the analogous color scheme of green, yellow and yellow-green. I think the company probably chose these colors is to show they are environment safe.

Jamba Juice uses the analogous color scheme of yellow, yellow-orange and yellow-green. I think the company probably chose these colors is to show that they have many different fruity flavors.


Complementary:

Fanta uses the complementary color scheme of orange and blue. I think the company probably uses these colors to represent there orange flavored soda and how it's also refreshing.

Chili's uses the complementary colors of red and blue-green. I think the company probably chose these colors to represent a red pepper which is also apart of their logo.

Warm:

McDonalds’s uses the warm colors of red and yellow. I think the company probably chose these colors to represent that there food is hot meaning cooked fresh.

Red Bull uses the warm colors of red and yellow. I think the company probably chose these colors because it has to deal with being an energy drink.

Cool:

Ocean Spray uses the cool color of blue. I think the company probably chose this color because it represents water and it’s refreshing.

Twitter uses the the cool color of blue. I think the company probably chose this color because it shows that the app is a fun and chill.

Monochromatic:

Animal Planet uses the monochromatic color of green. I think the company probably chose this color because it wants to show that it’s a channel based on earth and it’s environment.

A&W uses the monochromatic color of brown. I think the company probably chose this color because it’s the same color as rootbeer.

Triad: 

 The Superman logo uses the triad color scheme of red, yellow and blue. I think they chose these colors because Superman has many different qualities about him that make him a superhero. 

Burger King uses the triad color scheme of red, yellow, and blue. I think the company probably chose these colors because it shows that there food is hot and fresh and tasty as well.

Semester 2- Video

Music Video      My group decided to recreate High School Musical 2's, Bet On It, music video. The first thing we decided on was who was playing Troy in the music video. We had a perfect match and it was one of our own team members, Alex Pauli. After pre-production we were ready to film. The filming process was a little hard. My group wasn't very smart for choosing a music video set outdoors in the summer time when it was the middle of January and February. My main role in the filming process was teaching Alex the dance moves and helping with certain shots in the video. The shots for this video were not that difficult. Most of them were regular shots we could shoot on a tripod but sometimes we had to hold it to pan with Alex. Overall I thought this project was really fun. The team that I was with worked well together and we had some fun while creating this music video. If I were to do this again I would pick a different music video just because of the weather. Vector

     For this project we had to choose a portrait of a family member, pet or our self and recreate it in Adobe Illustrator. After choosing the picture we wanted we had to put it in Adobe Photoshop first. We cropped the image and posterized it to whatever number you wanted. We had to posterize it to see the different highlights and shadows on our picture.      The hardest part about this project was trying to differentiate all the shadows and highlights on the body. I only did the ones that seemed the most important to me. I decided to really simplify my vector down because tracing every different thing looked weird to me. I think my favorite part about my vector is the eyebrows, eyes and the raven on the front of the outfit. Those really turned out great. Nature Man

     For the Nature Man project we had to use all the skills we learned in Adobe Photoshop to create a better version of the original picture. He's called Nature Man because some pictures that were already provided for us in the server had to do with nature. The pictures consisted of roots, a cliff, trees and water. I restarted several times creating Nature Man because I didn't like what I had come up with. My first creation was horrible. I think I didn't like it because the only pictures I had used the ones provided and nature doesn't interest me. The second time I was going for a blue theme. The suit was going to be many different shades of blues mixed together. That didn't work out because the jacket looked too fake and it wouldn't blend very well.  For the third time the picture above is what I came up with.    After trying to go with a blue theme I changed my mind and decided to go with purple since it's my favorite color.
