Website

Overview
In e-Comm we made a website. Mr. Olson made video for us to follow along with while making our website. We were instructed to make a home page with a side bar, and a projects page similar to the home page also with a side bar.  In the side bar we added links to the home/projects page, the ONW website, e-Comm website and our blog. On the projects page we added our favorite projects that we have done this semester.

What I Learned
Overall in this week I learned a lot. I learned a new program, Dreamweaver, that I had never used before. In Dreamweaver we learned about all the different tools you can use to make a website. After making the basics of a website we learned how to add photos and videos from our projects. When we finished we learned how to design our website and then take a screen shot of it. While making the website I learned all about the different codings,  what they mean and how they affect the website.

How it Went

Overall this project was very stressful but fun. It was very hard at first to use a new program and have to follow along with videos. It was difficult to set up the website but once it was set up it was fairly easy to to to. I had a lot of fun looking back at all the projects I have done so far in e-Comm and putting them all in one place.

Semester 2- Video

Music Video      My group decided to recreate High School Musical 2's, Bet On It, music video. The first thing we decided on was who was playing Troy in the music video. We had a perfect match and it was one of our own team members, Alex Pauli. After pre-production we were ready to film. The filming process was a little hard. My group wasn't very smart for choosing a music video set outdoors in the summer time when it was the middle of January and February. My main role in the filming process was teaching Alex the dance moves and helping with certain shots in the video. The shots for this video were not that difficult. Most of them were regular shots we could shoot on a tripod but sometimes we had to hold it to pan with Alex. Overall I thought this project was really fun. The team that I was with worked well together and we had some fun while creating this music video. If I were to do this again I would pick a different music video just because of the weather. Even th...

Vector

For this project we had to choose a portrait of a family member, pet or our self and recreate it in Adobe Illustrator. After choosing the picture we wanted we had to put it in Adobe Photoshop first. We cropped the image and posterized it to whatever number you wanted. We had to posterize it to see the different highlights and shadows on our picture.      The hardest part about this project was trying to differentiate all the shadows and highlights on the body. I only did the ones that seemed the most important to me. I decided to really simplify my vector down because tracing every different thing looked weird to me. I think my favorite part about my vector is the eyebrows, eyes and the raven on the front of the outfit. Those really turned out great. Overall I think this is one of my favorite projects so far in graphic design. After finishing this one I wanted to create another vector right away. Just watching it all come together was really co...

Video Final

News Story        For this project we had to create a story about someone in our class that is involved with something that is connected to ONW. My team and I chose Drew who was on the Raven Pride Marching Band. This project took about 3 weeks to complete. The most challenging part about this project was Drew's interview. We had to reschedule about 3 times because we couldn't get the mic to work. The third time we shot the interview, with Drew, we didn't get to use a mic because they were all taken. After showing the video to the class I received some good feedback. I needed to turn up the volume on some parts and make sure to adjust the rule of thirds on some clips. Some positive feedback I received was the b roll was pretty good. This project was really fun and this is why I decided to share it for my semester final. ONW NOW      For our final semester project the sophomores in video had to make our own version of ONW NOW. Out of a...
