Self-Portrait

     For my self portrait video I decided to film a dance team morning practice. In the video they were reviewing new flag choreography we had just learned. I chose to incorporate the dance team because dance is a huge part of my life. I have been dancing from such a young age and it's something that I love to do. A lot of people already know that I dance but they don't actually see what practice is like. Another self-portrait that I enjoyed was Alex Pauli's, he played The Office theme song on the piano. At first it started off at a normal pace and then it kept getting faster and faster and I was really impressed.  The piece captured my attention the whole time and when it came to an end I wanted to keep watching it.

     On my self-portrait I really couldn't control the lighting because I was in the school gym. But I thought it turned out pretty good under the circumstances. While filming I made sure to walk around and to record everyone to get all the different views. I also got some close ups and made sure to stay on a person for a little so a viewer didn't feel like they were dizzy. Another filming choice I made were to include some panoramic shots.

     From my self portrait I want people to realize the work dance team puts in. We're here at 7 am every morning working on field show and our dances for the season. I believe I was successful in getting that across. Some people in my class thought it was really cool how the flags were moving and even wanted to try it themselves. A hard part in doing my self-portrait was to get all the dancers to act natural. Most of them wanted to make faces at the camera or make a silly pose. This caused me to have to film several different times. From this project I learned that trying to capture something in 2 minutes is harder than you think. At first I was like, "wow this will be easy" but in the end it took me 10 minutes to capture something only 2 minutes long. Overall I enjoyed this a lot and would defiantly love to do it again.

Nature Man

     For the Nature Man project we had to use all the skills we learned in Adobe Photoshop to create a better version of the original picture. He's called Nature Man because some pictures that were already provided for us in the server had to do with nature. The pictures consisted of roots, a cliff, trees and water. I restarted several times creating Nature Man because I didn't like what I had come up with. My first creation was horrible. I think I didn't like it because the only pictures I had used the ones provided and nature doesn't interest me. The second time I was going for a blue theme. The suit was going to be many different shades of blues mixed together. Semester 2- Video

Music Video      My group decided to recreate High School Musical 2's, Bet On It, music video. The first thing we decided on was who was playing Troy in the music video. We had a perfect match and it was one of our own team members, Alex Pauli. After pre-production we were ready to film. The filming process was a little hard. My group wasn't very smart for choosing a music video set outdoors in the summer time when it was the middle of January and February. My main role in the filming process was teaching Alex the dance moves and helping with certain shots in the video. The shots for this video were not that difficult. Most of them were regular shots we could shoot on a tripod but sometimes we had to hold it to pan with Alex. Overall I thought this project was really fun. Procedures Video

For this project we had to create a video of procedures done around the school. My group and I chose to do a procedure over a fire drill. The first thing we had to was create a storyboard to sketch out all the shots we wanted to use. We had to use at least 6 different shots. I feel like story boarding was the hardest part of this project. Everyone had so many ideas and sometimes we couldn't agree but we eventually came up with our plan. Next we began to shoot the video and shot it over a period of 2 days. This part was very easy because we already came up with a plan but it was very time consuming. In the video you could see we went outside and if it wasn't right we would have to go through many steps to go back out again. The editing process was time consuming too.
