Pop Art

For this project we had to take a picture of our partner and make them look like they were pop art or from a comic book. We were given several examples to help us with this project. I was trying to use primary colors because they go together and it was simple. At first I selected the the background and made it black and white to make Anna stand out. Next I put a filter over the background and if you look closely you can see dots randomly spread out across it. After putting a filter on it next,  I made 3 rectangles and shaded them with 3 different shades of yellow. Starting from top to bottom it goes lightest to darkest. The last and final step was outlining her blue and red. For the outline I used the wacom tablet. That made it really easy. I think the hardest thing about this project was to come up with an idea of what I wanted to do. Other than I thought it was really easy and fun.

Video Final

News Story        For this project we had to create a story about someone in our class that is involved with something that is connected to ONW. My team and I chose Drew who was on the Raven Pride Marching Band. This project took about 3 weeks to complete. The most challenging part about this project was Drew's interview. We had to reschedule about 3 times because we couldn't get the mic to work. The third time we shot the interview, with Drew, we didn't get to use a mic because they were all taken. After showing the video to the class I received some good feedback. I needed to turn up the volume on some parts and make sure to adjust the rule of thirds on some clips. Some positive feedback I received was the b roll was pretty good. This project was really fun and this is why I decided to share it for my semester final. ONW NOW      For our final semester project the sophomores in video had to make our own version of ONW NOW. Out of a...

Semester 2- Video

Music Video      My group decided to recreate High School Musical 2's, Bet On It, music video. The first thing we decided on was who was playing Troy in the music video. We had a perfect match and it was one of our own team members, Alex Pauli. After pre-production we were ready to film. The filming process was a little hard. My group wasn't very smart for choosing a music video set outdoors in the summer time when it was the middle of January and February. My main role in the filming process was teaching Alex the dance moves and helping with certain shots in the video. The shots for this video were not that difficult. Most of them were regular shots we could shoot on a tripod but sometimes we had to hold it to pan with Alex. Overall I thought this project was really fun. The team that I was with worked well together and we had some fun while creating this music video. If I were to do this again I would pick a different music video just because of the weather. Even th...

Typograpghy

For this project we worked in Adobe Illustrator to create different quotes. The first thing we did was look online for 10 different quotes that stood out to us. Next we had to look at fonts to see which ones we wanted to use for our quotes. I didn't know what to pick at first because so many of them were similar, weird or just not right for the quote. I ended up choosing a lot of cursive fonts because they were really cute to me.       The first thing I did was write out the quotes I liked in a random font. After that I began to move the words around and choose the fonts for each one. Next I began to add color to the quotes and things in the background.  Overall I enjoyed this project. It was actually harder than I thought it was going to be. Deciding on what to do for each quote was the hard part for me. If I were to do this project again I would work on filling up the artboard space more.
